Summary

botorch-rust 0.2.0 is on PyPI. This updates the pinned version from 0.1.0 to 0.2.0 in the three places that mention it:

  • README 8.16;
  • the commented line in requirements.txt;
  • the CHANGELOG entry.

The backends need no code changes:

  • The capabilities bo_library.py checks are unchanged: LCEMGP, ProvidedEmbeddingLCEMGP and PosteriorMeanModel.
  • The contextual models pass no outcome transform, so 0.2.0's stricter outcome-transform check for LCEMGP does not apply.

What 0.2.0 changes for these backends: hyperparameter fits that reach extreme values now follow BoTorch's path, and Cholesky jitter goes up to 1e-3 as in BoTorch. Both bring botorch-rust's fits closer to BoTorch's. As before, keep the version fixed within a study.

Tests

Full suite with the published 0.2.0 wheel, on Windows with torch 2.13:

python -m pytest tests -q
# 462 passed, 1 skipped, 1 failed

The failure is test_line_ending_conversion_is_not_a_change, which fails the same way on main on Windows.

🤖 Generated with Claude Code

botorch-rust 0.2.0 is on PyPI. It needs no changes in the backends: the
capabilities bo_library checks are unchanged, and the contextual models
pass no outcome transform. The test suite passes with the published wheel
(462 passed; the known Windows line-ending test fails as on main).
