Lucy-Engine

A custom game engine written in C.

Licensed under GPL-3.0.

Here’s the source code. Screw around and find out.

Made while vibing to Three Days Grace, Nirvana, Foo Fighters, Limp Bizkit, etc.

Features

Uses Lua now for only two things for now draw_floor(0, 0, 0) & draw_cube(0, 0, 0)

I am no longer doing releases cause YOU NEED TO LEARN FROM IT

Somehow works

Caused me emotional trauma (jk lol)

My friends like it

Inspiration

I was mostly inspired by the Cube engine, but if it had the rendering of 2007 Roblox and the abstraction of goldsrc,

God I have too much free time

How to compile it

Just provide a compiled version of Lua (according to the version the makefile contains, if needed you can edit it and the code for newer versions) in your Downloads folder and run "make"

g̶l̶a̶d̶l̶y̶ I̶ a̶m̶ n̶i̶c̶e̶ e̶n̶o̶u̶g̶h̶ t̶o̶ p̶r̶o̶v̶i̶d̶e̶ i̶t̶ f̶o̶r̶ y̶o̶u̶

why am I using older versions of OpenGL and SDL?

I am using these because they're lightweight, and makes it compile easily on older machines (given they are simpler than crazy style OpenGL)

And also because I can and I like OpenGL's legacy style
