SCP-6539 (?)
SCP-6539 is an invisible, human-like entity that lives in dimly lit areas. It appears as a shifting shadow, but when someone approaches it, it takes the form of a deceased person important to them, with different observers seeing different individuals. It can move to new dim locations if its light levels are too low, or phase through walls towards dim areas if light levels are too high. Rarely, it will communicate with a single person, though no one else can hear it. It is contained in a special chamber with controlled lighting, and personnel are not allowed to interact with it alone, especially since it seems to be able to replicate upon the death of someone it has deeply affected.
Project Mars: A Technical Tale (?)
"Project Mars: A Technical Tale" is an English translation of an unpublished German science fiction novel, "Marsprojekt," written by rocket physicist Wernher von Braun in 1949 and published in 2006. Set in the 1980s, the story details the first human mission to Mars, launched from an orbiting space station, where explorers encounter a benevolent, technologically advanced Martian civilization living underground. The novel, intended to stimulate interest in space travel, blends scientific detail with speculative fantasy, and notably features a Martian leader called "the Elon," which drew attention in 2021 due to its resemblance to Elon Musk.
